The Parish Council Office is open from 12 - 2 p.m. each Wednesday. The Clerk and a Councillor will normally be available to answer queries, and also show planning applications received. Guidance leaflets on planning matters and other Council services are available, together with tourist information leaflets.

 

THE NOISE 2013 - will take place on Sunday, 23rd June 2013 from 12 - 4 at the Abbey Manor Skate Park at Oak Tree Park, off  Stourton Way. The Grit demo team will be there!!

Events on Saturday, 27th July 2013

Site visits will be available from 10.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.

An illustrated talk by Dr James Gerrard (lecturer in Roman Archaeology, Newcastle University) will take place at the Abbey Community Centre on Saturday, 27th July 2013 at 7.30 p.m. 

Over the past four years archaeologists have been exploring the hidden ancient landscapes of Lufton. In 2012 a house dating to 1500BC was discovered. This talk will provide an update on the work so far and photos from this year's excavations.

 Free admission with refreshments available - donations gratefully received for the Abbey Community Centre

 

GENERAL POWER OF COMPETENCE

 At its meeting held on 22nd August 2012 Brympton Parish Council confirmed that it meets the statutory criteria set out in the Parish Councils (General Power of Competence) (Prescribed Conditions) Order 2012 and is thereby entitled to exercise the General Power of Competence contained in the Localism Act 2011
